Implementation Analyst

An Implementation Analyst will lead how HIRA gets embedded into hospital operations by driving adoption, not just deployment. You will work directly with nursing directors, staffing office managers, and operational leaders to understand their workflows, analyze their data, configure solutions, and ensure the platform changes how staffing decisions are made.

About HIRA

HIRA is a healthcare workforce intelligence platform that standardizes how hospitals make staffing decisions across the full labor management continuum: budgeting, scheduling, deployment, and monitoring. It helps hospitals reduce labor costs and staff to real demand rather than to habit. HIRA is built toward an agentic AI vision: as the platform matures, it acts as an AI coach that interprets KPIs, identifies root causes, and guides managers on what actions to take, replacing dashboards and manual analysis with decision-level guidance.

Hospitals are facing rising labor costs, worsening staffing shortages, and increasing pressure to do more with less. Existing workforce solutions focus on scheduling or HCM tasks but do little to help leaders understand demand, project staffing needs, or make consistent, data-driven decisions. HIRA closes this gap with demand-driven FTE plans, core-vs-float optimization, position control, and a gap shift lifecycle, combined with predictive demand modeling and scenario planning built specifically for healthcare operations. The platform serves clinical and ancillary departments alike: nursing, lab, imaging, periop, pharmacy, rehab, and other ancillary areas.

Compensation Structure

Hourly compensation tied to collaboratively defined milestones

Milestones may include client implementations, workflow documentation, adoption targets, training rollouts, and product feedback deliverables

Equity package with vesting schedule (standard 4-year or milestone-based vesting)

Clear path to grow into a long-term implementation, customer success, or operational leadership role

This structure provides flexibility while ensuring transparency, alignment, and meaningful upside as a core member of the team.

What You'll Do

Client Implementation & Operations

  • Own client implementations end-to-end: discovery, current-state assessment, configuration, training, go-live, post-launch optimization

  • Analyze hospital labor workflows across clinical and ancillary departments: unit staffing, schedule construction, position control, float pool deployment, and the staffing-office tools in use (census sheets, position control, manual and paper staffing sheets)

  • Build and maintain implementation workplans, status trackers, and issue logs in a single source-of-truth workspace, including RACI role design and module permissions and metrics validation

  • Analyze client staffing data: labor spend, scheduling actuals, overtime patterns, agency utilization

Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build working relationships with directors of nursing, house supervisors, staffing office managers, and finance partners

  • Serve as primary point of contact throughout each engagement

  • Execute stakeholder mapping, readiness assessments, training delivery, communication plans, and feedback collection

  • Identify resistance early and address it directly

  • Manage through implementation setbacks without losing momentum or stakeholder confidence

Analysis & Insight Development

  • Identify staffing inefficiencies and labor cost drivers: overtime concentration, agency dependency, schedule non-compliance, census-to-staff misalignment

  • Conduct value impact analyses: quantify operational and financial outcomes against pre-deployment baselines (premium labor spend reduction, staffing coverage improvement, scheduling compliance changes)

  • Build current-state and future-state process maps documenting actual hospital workflows

  • Produce client-facing reports framed around cost impact, quality risk, and operational burden

Product Feedback & Development

  • Translate field observations into structured product input: document the workflow, the failure point, and the solution requirements

  • Capture client edge cases, configuration decisions, and workarounds to build HIRA’s implementation playbook

  • Participate in design sessions, sprint reviews, and roadmap discussions representing the client’s operational reality

  • Track and report on implementation KPIs: adoption rates, time-to-value, workflow compliance, labor cost impact

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 2–5 years in implementation consulting, healthcare operations, change management, or an operational analyst role

  • Strong analytical capability: clean, structure, and extract insight from raw staffing data quickly

  • Excel proficiency required; SQL or BI tool experience is a strong plus

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and drive adoption with skeptical stakeholders

  • Process mapping and workflow documentation: capture how operations actually run

  • Clear, specific written communication: status updates, training materials, issue logs, client reports

  • Strong project management discipline: tracks open items, follows up independently, keeps workstreams moving

  • Able to operate independently, define scope, and execute without detailed direction

Preferred

  • Experience in hospital operations, nursing administration, or health system workforce management

  • Familiarity with workforce management platforms (UKG, Kronos, Symplr, Workday)

  • Exposure to EHR environments (Epic, Cerner) and clinical-operational data flows

  • Experience with product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude), agile workflows (Jira, Linear), or connected workspace tools (Notion)

  • Prior startup experience or a role requiring execution well beyond a defined job description

  • Understanding of healthcare labor cost drivers: overtime, agency spend, float optimization, schedule compliance, position control

Who You Are

  • Solve problems by getting into the details, not by presenting frameworks

  • Build credibility through preparation, follow-through, and reliability

  • Treat technology adoption as an operational and behavioral challenge, not a technical one

  • Persistent, direct, and composed under pressure

  • Do not wait to be told what to do

Why Join Us

  • Lead implementation for a category-defining healthcare AI platform at the stage where the operating model is being built

  • Directly influence both how the product is deployed and how it is developed

  • Milestone-based hourly compensation plus meaningful equity

  • Work directly with co-founders and real hospital systems on problems with measurable impact

  • Path to long-term operational leadership as the company scales
